Intensive Family Intervention – We know that our clients who are parents have special needs, as do their children and families. Staff members are trained to identify those needs and work with clients/parents to resolve family problems. Clients and their families can participate in parenting groups in the clinic and are helped to obtain needed services for children and families in neighborhood schools and other community-based agencies.
Intensive Family Intervention services is provided by a team, headed by a team leader who is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed professional counselor (LPC) and possess at least 3 years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances. The team also consists of two to three full time paraprofessionals who work under the supervision of the Team Leader. Our target age group for this service is children who are between the ages of 5-17.
